Poem: New World Order
I’ve seen the new world order.
It’s green after black, brown and grey
with red.
Poem: If I Were a God
If I were a God, I would banish dark clouds.
I would replace them with bright pink ones,
that did exactly the same job of producing rain,
every droplet of which would come in different colours,
red, green, blue, and various shades thereof,
making for rainbow days instead of grey days,
gay celebration instead of doleful introspection.
Puddles would become sources of wonder,
sometimes arranging themselves naturally
in styles reminiscent of Van Gogh, Picasso,
and, more often than not, Salvador Dali;
a dripping clock, or a strange rock.
