When chickens go bad


Some days you let chickens out into their run and one of them has obviously got the arse from the moment it gets up: picking fights, chasing specific victims for no reasons we humans can discern, striding around in a way that suggests ‘don’t mess with me’ and giving all the other hens the evil eye.

If you’ve never kept chickens, then you probably don’t believe they can give the evil eye. Just trust me on this. They can.

What’s your mood music?

Do you have any songs that you turn to when you’re upset about something? This one, by A Perfect Circle, is one that I return to time and time again. It’s a powerful anti-war song, no musical instruments, just voices (yeah, that’s what they call acapella, I know).
