Poem: We Dream

Galaxie d Andromède

We all dream

We dream of galaxies
big houses
shiny sports cars
someone kind
a pet dog

the holiday of a lifetime
the life of a saint instead of a sinner
the sins of the flesh that no-one will offer
the offer of a new job
the job that’s so cool it’s no job at all

many different things

Poem: Fall from Grace (Only to Return)

Trafalgar Square Green Man (London, England)

Outside the church
leaves on the ground
not on the trees

Green Man is gone

In spring he will return
bud and baby’s cry
the hope in all things

but for now
outside the church
his naked form stands still

a pause
a waiting
an ivory bone
