Become an armchair activist and protect your privacy online

I’ve realised that companies like BT that are willing to break the law on data protection—and allowed to get away with it, it seems, by our government—won’t ever change without a bloody revolution unlikely to ever materialise. So, if you want to make sure your privacy is protected online and you don’t get targeted advertising and detailed profiles built up based on the websites you visit, then you need to act.

Dalek cookies (so tasty you can’t help exterminating them)

It’s only taken me three months to get round to baking the Dalek cookies bought for me by Beautifu1 as a Christmas present, but I thought I’d give them a go. They’re recognisable as the evil fiends from planet Skaro, but needless to say they don’t look like the picture on the box.

Applying the orange goo was a bitch and the Dalek bumps, which are crisped rice, didn’t want to stay where they were supposed to go. Still, fun for the child or the child within… They taste good, too…

I can’t, however, vouch for them having the cheesecake effect I was hoping for. Any fan of The Golden Girls will know what I mean!
