Real Life

Enjoy the comic strip. It came to me courtesy of Howard’s Comic of the Day mailing list (thanks as always matey!). The uninitiated among you can, as well as subbing to the mailing list, catch more comic strip adventures by the enviably and immensely talented Greg Dean by heading over to the Real Life Comics website, where you can even order your favourites as frameworthy prints—a great idea for that special comic geek in your life this upcoming festive season.
Be warned, though—Real Life is addictive, and has been running for so long (nine years now) that there’s even a primer available to buy on lulu.com! It’s at least as good as Nemi. That’s a huge compliment, by the way. Nemi is a Norwegian comic strip and the name of its ascerbic lead character. It’s written and drawn by Lise Myhre and made its first appearance in 1997, two years earlier than Real Life. In the UK and Ireland the strip is printed daily, or every second day in the Metro newspaper.
