Fear the gays, argues the Blood Transfusion Service
The Blood Transfusion Service has again rejected calls from gay men’s groups to lift the ban on them donating blood, adding further insult to injury by claiming figures show that some gay men are continuing to give blood despite being asked not to do so.
This is, of course, a quite twisted and evil move by the Blood Transfusion Service to present gay men as bogeymen in order to garner support from the general population for its bigoted stance. It has proven itself willing to do anything, even lie, to maintain a policy that flies in the face of logic and reason.

This is the penultimate part of my blog retrospective. 2007 was the year that saw me enter my forties. Marked by a poodle for the glory of gay gods tells the story of how my mother’s pet poodle bit the doctor who turned up too late to attend my home birth. It might arguably be not only my best headline ever, but also one of the funniest personal stories I’ve ever shared online (even though I, obviously enough, have no recollection of the events as told to me by my mum).
