hocus, pocus & abracadabra: stirring up trouble for good

Smile and laugh and feel

It may appear disproportionate to some that five glowing reviews on Amazon UK and one on Amazon US for The Magician’s Washing Machine have made me incredibly happy today. I’m going to value every single reader who likes my work, though. I’m grateful. And why shouldn’t I be pleased? There will be stinky reviews to come, sure, but more good than bad. Because happy readers are more motivated.

What I dream about are stories that I hope will make people smile and laugh and feel. It’s better to spread joy than feed misery. Sod austerity, raise a glass. My first novel, WOOF!, brash and full of swears as it is, is a celebration of life’s utter everyday craziness. And I know what’s coming next, stories-wise. I can’t wait to show you but I need to get them written first…

Thanks to everyone who supports me. I’m glad I tickle your funny bones and don’t end up on a charge because of it.

I have acolytes. We eat quiche. We will fight the Anti-Quiche and its dark summoner as foretold in well-cooked prophecies contained within the Book of Delia. I write poetry, stories, rustle up a little political prose and generally lark about with chickens and friends. I enjoy life more and more as time goes by. I've got books for sale. Buy them. They're very good. Ask an acolyte!
