Prince Harry harried by police over hen harrier killings

Prince Harry, notorious the world over for the Nazi drag he got into trouble over a few years back, has been interviewed by police in Norfolk about the shooting of protected birds. They are investigating a report that two hen harriers were killed on the edge of the royal family’s Sandringham estate last week.

A spokeswoman for Clarence House said the prince and a friend were in the area at the time but had no knowledge of the incident.

Hmm.

A conservation worker with the government agency Natural England saw the two birds being shot on Wednesday of last week, so whoever shot the birds should, in theory, be easy to track down. It begs the question, why question the prince? Presumably the birds were killed by either a friend of the royals or someone employed by them. Of course there’s another possibility that won’t be written down here, but purely as an aside you can certainly be sure that the royals (and, sometimes, their pals) are treated differently to the common people when it comes to the law and its implementation.
