Billy

Although only fifteen weeks old, Billy and Jasper already show distinctly different personalities from one another. It has become easy for me to tell them apart, although they are near-but-not-quite-identical twins, by the ways in which they behave with us humans, one another and the adult cats.
Billy is the more sensitive of the two little boys, more inclined to squeak and the first to discover his purr about five days after he and his brother arrived in our home. And boy, is that purr loud for such a tiny feline! Both kittens enjoy cuddles but Billy is the one who actively solicits them. They both have an endearing habit, typical of the young in many species including our own, of being wide awake climbing all over you one minute and the next so deeply asleep on your shoulder that next to nothing will wake them up.
Billy has a strange habit which will thankfully (hopefully) be left behind in time. He likes to play in the litter tray, sometimes going to sleep in it. Other than that he’s relatively well-behaved. It’s his brother who is more inclined to pluck at the armchair covers or behind the sofa.
