Reading the news that Mozambique’s Roman Catholic archbishop has accused European condom manufacturers of deliberately infecting their products with HIV “in order to finish quickly the African people” got me very, very angry today.

What an absolute tosser. The man should be locked up. He is obviously a lunatic and a wicked liar.

Almost as crazy as the idea that condom manufacturers are impregnating condoms with the HIV virus—which is impossible given that the virus does not survive long outside the body—is the notion that this action is being done to depopulate Africa so Europe can take it over.

And do what with it, exactly? I mean, once we’ve exterminated every native African? Does this mean our disgust at what’s going on in Burma right now is merely deception? How gross. How utterly depraved can high-powered representatives of the Roman Catholic Church get? It seems the answer is: very.

I’m going to use a word I don’t think I’ve ever used on my blog before, or if I have, it’s extremely rare. The archbishop of Maputo, Francisco Chimoio, is a twat. A highly dangerous one who should be removed from office by the Vatican (which, of course, won’t happen). I imagine he’s also well-fed and doesn’t suffer persecution, starvation, rape and other forms of abuse from militia and corrupt police and bent politicians.

Unlike millions of his fellow Africans. Are Europeans to blame for every ill of that great continent? He would probably say yes. But I don’t buy it.
