US military reveals heat-ray gun


The Martians had them in H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds. Now the US military has revealed it has them as well: heat-ray guns to repel enemies and disperse crowds. The burning sensation inflicted is said to be ‘harmless’ but no doubt very painful.
