Queer superheroes (or, boys with special powers do drag)

This one’s funny. It’s another plug for Howard’s fantastic Comic of the Day mailing list. Superman and Batman as you’ve never seen them before.

I guess this is the comic strip equivalent of slash fiction. It’s highly subversive given that it involves two US cultural icons in a romantic gay lip-lock situation.

True (Super) Love Ways

I can kind of understand Batman’s appeal. It’s the fetish suit, although the one Chris O'Donnell wore in the films as Robin was far more appealing. Chris O’Donnell is appealing, full stop. But I cannot for the life of me imagine ever dating a guy who wears his underwear on the outside of his pants. That said, Dean Cain was very cute once upon a time. He played America’s most patriotic hero (odd given he’s an alien) in The New Adventures of Superman and spent a significant amount of time in that show in various states of undress.

The strip above comes from Bigger Than Cheeses. Everything thereon is consistently brilliant. Check it out.
