Poem: Goth Gal

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

There is a great danger involved in being the friend of a poet. While we poets are undoubtedly a dashingly handsome breed of cultivated higher souls, we have a tendency to write impromptu poems when imbibing wine in the company of friends. And those poems are nearly always about…

Yes of course. Our friends. And so, without further ado, I give you:

Goth Gal

[[Cruella de Ville]] meets [[Cleopatra]].
Cleopatra meets [[Lady Penelope]].
Lady Penelope meets [[Fenella Fielding]].
Fenella Fielding meets [[Marlene Dietrich]].
Marlene Dietrich meets [[Emma Peel]].
Emma Peel meets [[Lene Lovich]].
Lene Lovich meets [[Spanish Flamenco]].
Spanish Flamenco meets [[Coco Chanel]].
Coco Chanel meets [[Sharon Stone]].
Sharon Stone meets [[Elvira]].
Elvira meets [[Baby Jane Hudson]].
Baby Jane Hudson meets The [[Inca]] Queen.
The Inca Queen meets The [[Empress]] of the [[Wasps]].
The Empress of the Wasps meets [[Elastic]] Girl.
Elastic Girl meets [[Super]] [[Goth]].
Super Goth meets [[alcoholic]] beverages.
She gets drunk. Falls down. Quite a lot.
