How to make a fanboy cry
There are no gripes from me about this week's Doctor Who episode. After two stories which I felt were good but with enough flaws to either irritate or concern me, I was bowled over by tonight's story which featured the return of old companions Sarah Jane Smith and K9. Was I the only grown-up in the land who shed a few tears, and, at one point, screamed at the TV screen? No, I thought not. If you haven't seen School Reunion yet and don't want any spoilers, don't click the 'read more' link, whatever you do! Otherwise, read on…
New-look K9 for his own series

This is a sight to make grown men (and a significant number of women, no doubt!) purr like kittens (or should that more appropriately be bark like dogs?). K9, faithful companion to The Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who has been remodelled for a brand-new 26-part TV series.
Children's TV channel Jetix Europe is making the show after the BBC decided to focus on another, adult-oriented, spin-off which will feature the return of another popular character, Captain Jack. Torchwood will be aired on BBC1 later this year, when the current series of Doctor Who finishes its run. As yet, there is no indication of when K9 Adventures will screen in the UK, or on what channel, although I would imagine it's likely to be shown on CBBC. All I know for certain, as a collector of Doctor Who toys already – my Daleks having pride of place on the shelves in my study, along with my ninth Doctor-and-Slitheen walkie-talkies – is that I want this new K9 to be made into an action figure and I want one NOW!
