After the darkness of the bombs descends a particular light of love
A brief revisitation today. We haven’t moved yet. Unbelievably. Hopefully we will do so this week after suffering delays with all the forms being sent to and fro, and misinformation from my solicitor’s secretary as to our sale completion date. That’s an annoying story, perhaps in detail another time. Right now, I felt I had to return from my blog break to say something about what took place this week.
The streets of east London are still eerily stripped of people, numbers being obviously down since the bombings. Those who you walk past greet you with a word or two, or smile faintly. It’s not usual behaviour in the city and it’s as if we are all in a particular mode of thinking; which, of course, we are. The city is reeling in shock and grief and that ‘it could have been me’ feeling.
